Fine 1950's film short that uses silhouette animation to tell the Christmas story. Made by legendary German animator Lotte Reiniger who was responsible for the 1926 film The Adventures Of Prince Achmed; considered by some as the first feature length animated film.

A successful general returns home from battle to live in luxury. He drinks, stops practicing his skills and leaves his weapons to rust. He is arrogant and self-assured. When the enemy once again attacks he finds himself unable to defend himself or the country. Subtitles:

This is one of 26 Private SNAFU ('Situation Normal, All Fouled Up) cartoons made by the US Army Signal Corps to educate and boost the morale the troops. Originally created by Theodore Geisel (Dr. Seuss) and Phil Eastman, most of the cartoons were produced by Warner Brothers Animation Studios - employing their animators, voice actors (primarily Mel Blanc) and Carl Stalling's music. An instructional film for the telephone using a combination of animation and live action. Produced by Max and Dave Fleischer. Copied at 24fps from a 35mm print preserved by the Library of Congress, drawing from material from the AFI/Donald Nicol and AFI/Ahti Pataja Collections.

The first of the Mr. Hook cartoon series, his main purpose was to sell war bonds. Hook is set a decade in the future, and he is telling his young son about his exploits during the war and how war bonds helped him defeat an evil Japanese pilot who was trying to attack the fleet.
