Little White House (FDR) Warm Springs, Georgia

2007

The Little White House, in Warm Springs, Georgia, was Franklin D. Roosevelt's personal retreat. He first came to Warm Springs for treatment of his paralytic illness, and liked the area so much that, as Governor of New York, he had a home built on nearby Pine Mountain. The house was finished in 1932. Roosevelt kept the house after he became President, using it as a Presidential retreat. This vacation video was filmed in June of 2007. Originally the video and sound was going to be edited before publishing. However, I decided against it in case there was something of educational importance within it. You have permission to use this footage in any work as long as you give credit to DARRELL LEE WRIGHT for supplying this footage. ENJOY As an added note: The older woman wearing a lime green shirt in this film (Doris A Wright) lost her battle with lung cancer on January 19, 2012. I hope this film will be preserved here for a very long time, as a memorial to this dear woman, who made this vacation possible.
