"The Open Track" is a short action film from a serial by the name of "The Hazards of Helen", featuring Helen Gibson, a star of Silent Hall of Fame. This is episode 63 from a total of 119 weekly one reel films produced by Kalem, showing just how popular this serial was in 1914-1917. The first 48 films starred Helen Holmes, the remaining 71 starred Helen Gibson. They both played heroines that were independent and adventurous, resolving dangerous situations with quick thinking. Their acting was very physical and they performed their often very dangerous stunts.

"Winning Back His Love" is a short drama directed by D.W. Griffith, featuring cinematographer Billy Bitzer, a star of Silent Hall of Fame.

Stephanie Longfellow finds out that her husband Wilfred Lucas is about to start an affair.  Just when she feels down and out, she gets an advice from an old friend, Edwin August, to take counter-measures and bring Wilfred to his senses.

"Lightning Bryce" is a Western cliffhanger serial featuring Jack Hoxie, a star of Silent Hall of Fame.

This is episode 2, entitled "Wolf Nights".  It starts with a synopsis of episode 1 "The Scarlet Moon".  There is action, intrigue, and even a "Mystery Woman".  Stay tuned, 13 more episodes are coming.

"The Grub-Stake" is a Klondike drama with a powerful climax, featuring Nell Shipman, a star of Silent Hall of Fame.

Nell Shipman was an actress portraying strong female characters that liked the outdoors and adventures.  Her love for animals was extraordinary, as manifested again in this film.  Nell Shipman was a Canadian. We also show her films "Back to God's Country" and "Something New".

"The Curtain Pole" is a short comedy directed by D.W. Griffith, featuring Florence Lawrence, Arthur Johnson and cinematographer Billy Bitzer, stars of Silent Hall of Fame.

A house party is interrupted when a curtain pole breaks.  The lady of the house (Florence Lawrence) wants to take care of the problem but one of the guests (Mack Sennett) volunteers to run to the hardware store and get a replacement.  On his way back he causes mayhem on every step of the way. Arthur Johnson plays several small roles, among which are a vegetable vendor and a party guest.

"The Evidence of the Film" is a short crime film, featuring Florence La Badie, a star of Silent Hall of Fame. 

The film is significant for the fact that it depicts "film within the film" as a method of proving innocence and guilt. Florence La Badie was the leading actress of Thanhouser from 1911 until her untimely death in 1917 at the age of 29. 

In 2001 the film was selected for preservation in the National Film Registry as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."

"The Portrait of Lady Anne" is a nice short fantasy film, featuring Florence La Badie, a star of Silent Hall of Fame. 

Florence La Badie plays the role of a beautiful, but very capricious young woman in two different time periods.  The film is notable for its very rich costumes and beautiful sets.  Florence La Badie was the leading actress of Thanhouser from 1911 until her untimely death in 1917 at the age of 29.

"The Hansom Cabman" is a nice Mack Sennett short comedy, directed by Harry Edwards and starring Harry Langdon and a charming 16 year young Marceline Day, a star of Silent Hall of Fame.

"The Country Doctor" is a short drama directed by D.W. Griffith, featuring actress Florence Lawrence and cinematographer Billy Bitzer, stars of Silent Hall of Fame. This film depicts real human tragedy and may not be suitable for all audiences.  Viewer discretion is advised.
