One of the amazing things about slow motion footage is how beautifully chaotic some of the simplest things are. I caught this during a rainstorm the other day and love the razor thin depth of field which allowed me to focus on a part of one leaf. It was raining pretty hard, but you are able to only see the select few drops that hit this particular leaf. You are seeing the rain fall at 240p played back at 30 frames per second.

Description: I've wanted a shot like this for a while, and am actually very happy with how this HDR turned out. It was shot as a Time-lapse, but with how calm the trees were (mixed with the soft bokeh) the shot looks real time with beautiful HDR detail.

I was fighting with my conscience on shooting this footoage. There was a traffic accident near my house that was drawing a crowd. I mentioned to my wife that I had always thought that offering footage of emergency vehicles would be a good idea since the footage is used in PSAs and other well meaning media. My idea was to stop by fire halls or police stations and ask for close-ups of some of the vehicles, or ride-along on trainings, not poach real accidents. I decided that if I shoot with a focus not so much on the detail, but the feel of the scene, I would be able to sleep at night.

Did an Industrial Night HDR (High Dynamic Range) Time Lapse shot the other day. What I love is I mistakenly balanced a night shot with daylight settings and got the orange tungsten glow you see here. It made the smoke look like the building was on fire. Neat litte look ... unintentionally.

I was playing with my daughter today and thought it may be a good time to turn the camera on and offer up my first "person/actor" related stock video. I'm not sure if I will ever offer up a video of her where she is in focus, but who knows. This clip might be a great background for anyone doing a piece that involved children, art or family.
