"Tom, Tom, the Piper's Son" is a short comedy featuring cinematographer Billy Bitzer, a star of Silent Hall of Fame.

During a village fair Tom steals a pig and runs away with it chased by a crowd of persecutors.  The pig becomes unruly and hampers the escape, but the chasers have their own problem as they constantly stumble upon each other. Will Tom take advantage and escape?

"Those Awful Hats" is a very short comedy directed by D.W. Griffith, featuring Robert Harron, Florence Lawrence and cinematographer Billy Bitzer, stars of Silent Hall of Fame.

This is a rare attempt at comedy by D.W. Griffith.  Florence Lawrence gets credit for the film, but it is hard to spot her in the audience, unlike a very young Robert Harron, who has a prominent role together with Mack Sennett.

"Max Wants a Divorce" is a short comedy starring Max Linder and Martha Mansfield, a star of Silent Hall of Fame.  It was her second film ever, and her second of three films with Max Linder for Essanay Studios.

 
Martha and Max are just married when he gets a letter from his lawyer notifying him that he will receive a 3 million dollar inheritance if he is not married.  As anyone would do, Max starts concocting a plan to keep both the money and his wife Martha.  His idea is to cause a divorce, obtain his inheritance, and get married with Martha again.

"The Curtain Pole" is a short comedy directed by D.W. Griffith, featuring Florence Lawrence, Arthur Johnson and cinematographer Billy Bitzer, stars of Silent Hall of Fame.

A house party is interrupted when a curtain pole breaks.  The lady of the house (Florence Lawrence) wants to take care of the problem but one of the guests (Mack Sennett) volunteers to run to the hardware store and get a replacement.  On his way back he causes mayhem on every step of the way. Arthur Johnson plays several small roles, among which are a vegetable vendor and a party guest.

"The Hansom Cabman" is a nice Mack Sennett short comedy, directed by Harry Edwards and starring Harry Langdon and a charming 16 year young Marceline Day, a star of Silent Hall of Fame.

"Father Gets in the Game" is a short comedy directed by D.W. Griffith. The film is included in our program to illustrate the work of actress Florence Lawrence and cinematographer Billy Bitzer, stars of Silent Hall of Fame.

An elderly gentleman gets snubbed by his family members when he wants to go out.  He decides to get a make-over, which leads to dramatic consequences.

"His New Mamma" is a nice Mack Sennett short comedy, directed by Roy Del Ruth and starring Harry Langdon and Alice Day, a star of Silent Hall of Fame.
