The story concerns a respected judge (Harry Shannon) who is trying to clean up a saloon run by the notorious Belle Bonner (Ona Munson). Belle has discovered some secrets about the judge's past, and she has her brutish accomplices try to frame the judge for some of their own crimes. Deputy Roy Rogers trusts the judge, but his boss does not, setting up a fast-paced if mostly predictable story.
