After Pat Garrett kills Billy the Kid, Billy's look-alike Roy Rogers arrives and is mistaken for him.


Billy the Kid Returns is a 1938 United States film directed by Joseph Kane and starring Roy Rogers.

Plot


Following the shooting of Billy the Kid by his former friend Sheriff Pat Garrett lookalike deputy sheriff Roy Rogers, assisted by travelling musical instrument salesman Frog Millhouse, takes his place to defend the honest settlers of Lincoln County, New Mexico, New Mexico from evil ranchers.
