Silent Hall of Fame is the only place where we actively work to bring back from oblivion the names and legacy of formerly illustrious silent movie stars, which have made a major contribution to the industry and the world but do not have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

This is a compilation of short films, paper prmnts, from the Library of Congress. I have added sound and music to perhaps to add to their viewability. Probably before 1910

His Trust and His Trust Fulfilled are two one-reel films directed by D.W. Griffith in 1911. They were meant to be played as one story but due to technical limitations of the day were released separately. Here they are joined with music and sound effects added. It is a somewhat touching story of an old black, an Uncle Tom like character who takes care of the daughter of his dead master. Many of the battle scenes are precursors of what Griffith would do later in Birth of a Nation and his attitudes towards race while not as pronounced as in that later film are quite apparent.

"The Vagabond" is one of Charlie Chaplin's Mutual short comedies featuring Edna Purviance, a star of Silent Hall of Fame.

The film is different from the other Chaplin comedies from that period in that it has many dramatic moments and is a clear harbinger of his later comedy-drama works.
